ATypI Tech Talks 2022: 29 sessions in three days for all things innovation in type

Kicking off on the 27th of October, the new ATypI Tech Talks 2022 is compiled of 29 sessions that shed light on technology, education, business, and everything related to innovation in type.
A truly diverse conference that explores a variety of themes and issues of the typographic scene and the digital realm, ATypI TT 2022 features a great line of moderators and speakers for impactful inspiration with explorations aplenty.
From the presentation of the research that investigates the impact of audience habits and culture on text readability (about Arabic text typefaces) by the Arabic-Persian typeface designer Atefeh Mohammadi through the panel consisting of experts Tim Ahrens, Jérémie Hornus, Igino Marini, and Toshi Omagari who will explore existing, new, and emerging tools, techniques, problems, and solutions in automatic kerning and spacing in font engineering to the many challenges of designing typefaces for hanzi (Chinese characters) and the ongoing efforts to generate hanzi glyphs automatically via the new deep learning approach by Rui Zhang, Yehang Yin (his Inscript talk was one of a kind), and Zewen Chen, ATypI Tech Talks 2022 is a three-day typographic adventure taking place online from October 27 to 29 with tickets still available to own here.

Here is a highlight from ATT2021, a panel discussion featuring Sahar Afshar, Nadine Chahine, Catherine Dixon, John Hudson, Indra Kupferschmid, Manuel Sesma, and Nick Sherman and moderated by Carolina Laudon, Jean-Baptiste Levée, Thomas Phinney, and Rathna Ramanathan that explores the past, present, and (hopefully bright) future of typeface classification.
