Watch this: imperfection in graphic design & typography with Chris Ashworth
"Has design gotten to digital? Are we craving something more human and hand done?"
Designer, typographer and artist, Chris Ashworth, talks about his process and why being human is better than perfect in this video via The Futur Academy.
Chris Ashworth graduated from York College of Art in 1990, was awarded the UKs most up and coming typographer in 1993, and by 1997 was at the helm of California’s ‘Bible of Music and Style’ - Ray Gun Magazine.
His personal work has included creative projects with Michael Stipe and commissions for IDEA Magazine with his work appearing in over 50 international design books and publications.
The continuum throughout his 30 year career has been a healthy obsession with typography – and specifically his ‘Swiss Grit’ take on it, as well a hands-on approach to the creation of his work – choosing paper over pixels, every time.
A must-watch video after the jump.
