Grafikmagazin: a brand new magazine on the beauty of typography
With a fresh take on typography and graphics in use, the Munich based Grafikmagazin, explores the world of design in many ways.
The new magazine is the printed spin-off after the merger of Novum World of Graphic Design and Page.
With a target audience of design professionals and students alike the magazine has a different theme for each issue.
The Digital Museum, Corporate Communications and What’s Cooking? are the first three themes of Grafikmagazin that features interviews with typographer Marta Bernstein, Pentagram partner Paula Scher and creative director Dennis Moya Razafimandimby so far.
According to the magazine’s art director Tobias Holzmann, the magazine is laid out to give readers a “kind of orientation” over issues reports Design Week.
The font in use is Favorit from Swiss type foundry Dinamo for the magazine’s masthead with Arizona typeface, also by Dinamo, used for body copy inside the magazine.
