Stretched but not deformed: TPN for ESPN's Andscape media platform
TwoPoints.Net aka the design studio specializing in Flexible Visual Identities for companies, institutions, organizations, events, products and publications once again delivers.
This time TPN was commissioned by long-time collaborator ESPN to design an exclusive bespoke typeface with 27 fonts for Andscape, a Black-led media platform dedicated to creating, highlighting, and uplifting the diverse stories of Black identity.
Ranging from Condensed to Extended and from Ultra Thin to Extra Bold the custom type design was two months in the making.
Designed to further stretch horizontally by extending the horizontal lines the exclusive bespoke typeface features triangular and circular shaped letters with horizontal elements which makes stretching without deforming possible.
Magnified by the power and reach of The Walt Disney Co., the Andscape umbrella includes an editorial division, book publishing arm, film and television division, and music publishing group, each united by the shared mission of illuminating the culture and experience of Blackness, all bearing their own signature type created by TPN.
