Call for entries: Hiiibrand Awards 2022 competition is on
Advocating creativity for 13 consecutive years, the Hiiibrand Awards Competition returns with a massive change.
The former Hiiibrand International Brand Design Awards Competition and Hiii Typography International Typography Design Competition are merged and 2022 sees the competition first launched in 2010 renamed as Hiiibrand International Brand & Communication Design Awards.
“The Hiiibrand International Brand & Communication Design Awards focuses on branding, business value, and communication design, discovering and honoring outstanding branding practices and design strengths through a global call for entries and selection, and striving to promote communication and development in the field of brand and design” notes the team of this ongoing creative fest.
Having already invited more than 80 international judges from 5 continents and received more than 20,000 entries from more than 100 countries or regions in its 13th year running, the Hiiibrand Awards are “a leading international, professional and forward-looking design awards, winning or being shortlisted in the Hiiibrand Awards would be a real honor for both the brand owners and the designers!”
Few things about the terms and conditions of this year’s competition follow:
Professionals can enter the Hiii Awards with projects created or published between January 2020 and February 2023, regardless of country and number. The candidates can be brand consulting or design agencies, design firms/teams, branding studios, marketing departments, freelancers, etc., or corporate/brand manufacturers who own the rights to attribute their work.
Entries at the professional level must be commissioned by the client and have already been applied in the market as Hiii Awards will not accept “any bidding works, scam ads or experimental works.” Concept work and/or work that has not been implemented is not eligible.
Students can enter this year’s competition with projects created or published between January 2020 and February 2023, regardless of country and number. Entries must be designed by graduate students, undergraduate students, college and university students, or by the students as mentioned above while they are still in school and can be “either designs that have been applied in the market or practice project that have not been implemented.”
This year globally renowned veteran designers — Kashiwa Sato, Joe Duffy, Liza Enebeis, Luke Powell, Yah-Leng Yu, Jo De Baerdemaeker, Sammy Or, Nod Young, Forest Young, and Wade Convay — will work as judges for the competition, and fairly select winners for various prizes with three evaluation criteria — Impact (applicability and effect), Idea (originality and differentiation) and Form (comprehensibility and aesthetics) — as pillars for the selected projects.
The regular entry deadline is December 31, 2022, with your last chance set for February 15, 2023.
