Exploring the exploding typographic elements of Superscript2
An independent Lyon based graphic design studio, Superscript² was founded back in 2006 by Pierre Delmas Bouly & Patrick Lallemand in France.
Investing in different medias of expression from graphic design such as publishing (book, catalog, magazine, monograph, poster), typography (original font design) and digital media with Martial Geoffre-Rouland (website, digital installation amongst others) Superscript² works for a wide range of clients across various sectors, from cultural institutions to established companies.
From Association des directeurs des écoles d’art Rhône-Alpes or the École des beaux-arts de Lyon through Fondation Albert Gleizes and Ubisoft to Uniqlo and Vincent Roques numerous labels and institutions appreciate S2’s typographic appeal. Offering practical design solutions where content and form are closely linked Bouly and Lallemand have developed and produced Ink Magazine, a publication dedicated to the typographic item, since 2006.
“We love to work with different people from different fields of culture, art, fashion or industry. All these collaborations taught us a lot about the importance of discussions between graphic designer and clients. To us, practicing the work of graphic designer is initiating an exchange between our point of view and the needs of our professional partners. We never work only to find a graphic solution to a project, we try to improve it” they say on their website.
“Each project is important, regardless of his scale. We like to do this job and teach it” they add. They are Superscript² and you really need to get to know them. Happy Friday.
