We have a winner! Adamant Sans wins 2016 Typography Competition
Each year, Communication arts celebrates and awards the world of typography. Ever since it was first founded by Richard Coyne and Robert Blanchard in 1959, CA remains is the premier source of inspiration for graphic designers, art directors, advertising agencies and typographers, literally to everyone involved in visual communication. This year, CA’s juried competition celebrated once again the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising along with new typeface designs. So we are more than happy to congratulate Vedran Erakovic for winning an award for Adamant Sans at the Communication Arts competition 2016.
Adamant Sans Pro –which has also received an award from Granshan Awards 2014– is a contemporary and a very functional typeface and stands out from the crowd with its uniquely designed rounded corners and beautiful italics. This ideal companion of the Adamant serif version, shares several characteristics with its predecessor, such as proportions, short ascenders and descenders, supported codepages. It consists of 18 fonts, including true italics. Its extreme weights, such as hairline and black are ideal for setting big and powerful headlines, while intermediate weights work very well in long texts at small point sizes.
