Type serves Music
This limited 12-inch vinyl record accompanied the IMPRINT Fair (platform for typography and graphic design) with five exclusively produced tracks, based on twenty-six experimental glyphs. A range of international font designers and foundries were invited to experimentally address the topic of font design and contribute one of twenty-six glyphs. These glyphs were turned into various samples, which in return were used by a selection of musicians to produce the five tracks, that are featured on this edition. Simultaneously, an opportunity to discuss, judge and scrutinize new developments was given. And typographically speaking, we shall admit: Custom fonts are on a very high levels of hype-excellence these days.
