Type launches a new pair of glasses
Japanese based company Type, launched a new pair of glasses inspired by two classic typefaces: Garamond and Helvetica. Each typeface has either a sophistichated or simple style, elegant or bold. Every character of these typefaces has a personality. So are we, the humans. They also have three weights that come in different colors: Light, Regular, Bold in Clear, Black or tortoiseshell. The garamond design has been inspired, by the old-style serf lower case g, and we think that this pair reflects rightly the Garamond typeface. Elegance and sophistication are the words that could describe the kind of person who wears it. On the other hand, the helvetica pair is inspired by the arm and the finishing of Helvetica's h lowercase. One could say that in that case, people are more familiar to this kind of glasses. We consider them more massive, bold, people are familiar with it and since it has a huge echo on the market, it should definetly suit a variety of different face structures, just like helvetica. All of them come alive, on 30 January for details check here.
