Signs for the Homeless
Signs for the Homeless is an exchange project between two artists, Kenji Nakayiama & Christopher Hope and homeless people. The mission of the project is to raise awareness and help for the homeless through exchanging hand painted signs and sharing the experiences of these people around the world. These wonderful executed typographic signs, are a remake of the original text into a composition as an act to invitation for conversation. The way typography is being used is an extension of each individual's self expression. The new signs are not about “increasing the money” in first point, though these artists pay them for their original signs and help them find housing and work in the area. The artists assure as though that there is a strong possibility that the next phase of this project may explore more direct solution-oriented program. You shall explore details and interviews on the project by viewing their tumblr.
