Playing the game of modular typography is legit
Designed by Visual Communications students Minna Sakaria, Carolina Dahl and Maria Ines Gul for the ongoing Royal College of Art’s School of Communication Work-in-Progress show, this identity is surprising playful. Reflecting the variety of the works that are exhibited through the 8th of February, their modular type system allows for each element to contribute to any letterform either through pre-designed arrangements or alternative combinations. This specially-designed typeface has been printed on stickers in an attempt ‘interrupt’ the RCA’s identity in a fresh, inspired and productive way.
