Sliced typography for a high octane Nike baseball branding
When Nike USA commissioned Berlin based design studio HelloMe to develop a concept for the 2015 Major League Baseball Season the letterforms got hacked. Till Wiedeck and his team explored various directions for branded and local applications using the phrases “Bronx Bombers” (New York Yankees) and “Dust‘Em” (Nike Baseball Claim) and the sliced typography is another example of HelloMe’s portfolio of ideas that is based on their systematic design approach, informed by research, conception and the intrinsic characteristics of each specific project. In close collaboration with Nike HelloMe conceived an adaptable typographic system that could easily be applied to a full range of merchandise for all MLB Teams by the in house design studio at Nike.
