Olivia Steele tells it in neon
Neon lightning as we know it has been around since the 1920s, used mainly to make dramatic signage for advertising. American artist Olivia Steele, currently based in Europe, uses interesting neon lettering and typography in her installations to comment on reality and modern culture, ironically, cynically and provocatively. Her art evokes various interpretations, it is charged with strong emotion and it's mainly centered on contradictions. If you're a fan of Tracey Emin's work, you will definitely see that this one is also worth your while.
