Beau Sans is the typeface of choice for EPP’s major rebranding
We are more than delighted when one of the most important political parties in Europe gets a brand new identity that is contemporary, fresh, modern and coherent. EPP’s new logo was adopted at a joint meeting of the Presidencies of the Party and the Group and launched at the Madrid Congress of the European People’s Party on 22 October. This is a visual symbol beyond languages that can be adopted by the EPP network to communicate their values: people, Europe, solidarity.
“Brought closer together by its people, its common history and its shared challenges, the EPP is made up of different organisations that reflect its diverse nature” writes EPP’s official site. “These organisations have, over the past decades, communicated using different logos, fonts and visual symbols. Today, the different parts within the EPP ecosystem are collaborating on many fronts and wish to showcase this unification visually through the adoption of a common logo by its two main bodies: the Party and the Group. This is key to promoting the unity and coherence of the EPP as an overall alliance and will enable the public to recognize the EPP as a united organisation with common goals and ideas. This is an important step towards making the EPP a powerful and understandable brand.”
With Beau Sans Pro as the primary font of choice, this new identity reflects EPP’s diverse nature. By this modern sans serif family of 16 fonts which includes true-italics, covering a broad range of languages, EPP’s new distinct and contemporary identity is communicated loud and clear.
