Duane Dalton’s Basic Stamps collection is a visual travelogue
An ongoing design project that combines his love of design and those small pieces of paper that are displayed on an item of mail as evidence of payment of postage, Basic Stamps is a feast for the eye. Designed by Duane Dalton, a talented graphic designer and artist from Dublin, Ireland who studied at The Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) and is currently living and working in London as a designer at SEA Design, the series “serves as a great reminder of just how much can be communicated in a small space with geometric shapes and limited colors”. Designed in a minimalist look, an attribute which is common throughout the majority of his work, this collection is an evident of his passion about minimal and reductive design qualities that communicate a clear and precise message. Dalton reinvented the stamp in this self-initiated project with a variety in shapes, fonts and colours for a visual trip around a very typographic oriented world of ours. Bon voyage!
