Daniel Carlsten is obviously on a strict Century Gothic diet
“Design is simultaneously a process and a result, a business tool and an art form, a service and a product. With this in mind I create visual concepts and identities that may result in, or be applied to” says Daniel Carlsten. A man of many talents, the former Art director at Acne and co-founder of Acne Art Department 2004-2009 designed our culinary typographic obsession of the day. In his poster series for Stockholm’s Restaurant deVille, his design studio created an identity within “a framework built on traditional brasserie influences”. And whilst the French and Scandinavian accents add a crisp edge to Monotype’s all caps Century Gothic, a vivid and consistent identity nurtured our typographic appetite today.
