Behold! Hiii Typography Awards 2014 winners announced
Welcoming world-wide enterprises, design institutes, design companies, designers and students Hiii Typography Awards accepts typography design works each year from around the world. “We hope we can improve the communication and development of typography design, discover talents, while award the people who devote themselves to the designs and excellent works around the world” is the motive behind this international typography design competition which is divided into two groups: Latin and Chinese, for which three categories are set up respectively: Typeface, Communication and Experimental. This year, a world-class judging committee which included designers such as Akira Kobayashi, Philippe Apeloig, Zhiwei Zhu, Fang Cao, Kan Tai Keung and Ruedi Baur selected the winning entries. Altogether, 539 pieces of works from more than 30 countries and regions around the world entered the competition. Finally, 12 works have been chosen for the Latin typeface group and 7 for the Chinese group. We present you with a selection of all those who proved that typography is an art form made of and for inspiration -and, yes, our very own Parachute foundry is one of them with 2 typefaces Bague Sans and Occula. Let the typographic fest begin.
