Bold and powerful, Craig Black’s latest typographic pieces speak volumes

“As part of Avondale Type Co’s second annual Artist Series I collaborated with ATC to create four unique pieces inspired by one of their typefaces, ATC Overlook” says Craig Black, the Scottish born graphic designer, lettering artist and typographer whose work is always a revelation.

“Taking inspiration from the font’s bold and powerful details, I set out to design a look that carried its sleek qualities further by combining the use of subtle gradient textures and sharp edges” he continues on his latest exploration of what a letterform can, and will, do.
