Dancing letters and more typographic stories straight from Porto by night
Optimus, a telecommunication brand in Portugal, organizes Optimus D'Bandada festival, an annual event that celebrates music and art, with free perfomances and concerts in unexpected places all over the city during a long partying day. This Is Pacifica took care of the visual identity of the festival creating a layered logo, with a playful character and a relaxing mood. All the applications, the identity plus all the exhibition designed material included, call the visitors for a joyous razzle. The festival attracts a lot of different people and the nice thing about the applications of this typographic concept is that it becomes more approachable to the viewers, as it gives you the impression that the pedestrians can touch the printed posters on the bus stations. A friendly feature is also added by the use of kraft papers, which match greatly the concept of the design, and also the type treatment. Fresh, playful, communicative and effective type. What else can fit better a festival like this? See the full work here.
