Fonts from the flea Market
Büro Destruct's photostream is one of our favourite bookmarked pages in the last days. They have been running it since 2005 in flickr, and until today they have provided us with photographs, taken by themselves, featuring a great amount of inspiring vintage typographic covers, mostly from the music industry. No matter the personal taste, this collection of images offers an objective picture of typography's trends of certain periods. Some of them demonstrate cutting-edge typographic skills, while others are still surprisingly contemporary. Taken from the flea market is a movement that motivates us to do the same. This kind of archive is always inspiring if you think of what kind of culture & trends these vinyls carry. Creating the future by looking into the past, a “back to the basics” attitude that the graphic design studio seems to embrace so well. Büro Destruct was founded in 1994 in Bern, Switzerland and counts four members: Lopetz, MBrunner, H1reber and Heiwid. With the motto "Small City – Big Design" they take commissions from small, local and international companies at the same time. You can check their work here and their photostream right here.
